FINANCIALS

Stroke Research & Education Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) based in The Rio Grande Valley and serves a national audience. Our mission is fulfilled through donations, healthcare individual and facility memberships, and grants.

Our Focus

Stroke Research & Education Foundation provides stroke education and programs to stroke survivors, caregivers, and the healthcare community. We believe that caregivers and the survivor’s circle of support are the core to their recovery. Our programs and material are provided to the stroke community for free.

We know that working closely with the healthcare community ensures that every research and practice is being pursued to aid the stroke survivor in their recovery process. And lastly, through prevention messaging we work to drastically reduce the number of strokes in the U.S. Our key focus areas for 2018-19 include:

  • Increasing awareness of life-saving stroke information

  • Impacting survivor empowerment and stroke community quality of life

  • Building a national platform for the 5th leading cause of death in the U.S.
